A freelance photojournalist located in Central Ontario, Peter Turchet has been covering local, national, and international events from behind the lens since 1985.

His images have appeared in a number of publications and news picture services including Torstar-Newspapers, Sun Media, The Windsor Star, The Record, The Free Press, The Citizen, The Canadian Press, Score Golf and Sports Illustrated.

Clients also include Noma, K-Swiss, Imagineers, Thomson, International Management Group, Cool Planet Entertainment and Petro Canada.

Turchet is a graduate of the Photojournalism program at Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario. He also studied commercial photography at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario.

Turchet is a veteran photojournalist with a proven record. He has been recognized by his peers with a number of awards for editorial excellence in photography. Spanning more than two decades, his career has provided him with a lifetime of experiences, memories and cherished friendships.

Photojournalism by definition is journalism that represents a story primarily through the use of photography. The images contained on this site are moments in time captured and unaltered or manipulated for content.

Turchet lives in Horseshoe Valley with his wife, Lise, and his daughters, Kalleen and Samantha.
